UPDATES

Our Stage of Development

While we are currently in the fundraising stages, working diligently to raise $150,000 to acquire land for our future building, we remain committed to nurturing the community during this interim period.

Support and Guidance: Isaiah Village is committed to being a reliable resource for families, offering a listening ear, and providing guidance whenever they need to talk or have questions about the services available to them.

Caregiver Support Group: Every other Thursday, we conducted a caregiver support group where caregivers could come together, share their experiences, seek advice, and receive emotional support from others who understand the unique challenges they face.

Social Group: We established a social group for people with developmental disabilities, offering a safe and welcoming space for individuals to socialize, make friends, and participate in group activities.

Resource Referral: We have been actively assisting families and individuals with developmental disabilities by connecting them with appropriate resources in the community. This referral service helps individuals access essential support services and programs to meet their specific needs.

Caregiver Devotionals: We have provided over 200 caregiver devotionals, offering valuable support and guidance to caregivers to help them cope with the challenges associated with caring for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Park Days: We organized park days specifically designed for people with developmental disabilities, their families, and friends. These events provided an opportunity for individuals to engage in recreational activities in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Advocacy: As advocates for individuals with developmental disabilities, we have accompanied them to appointments with Social Security and the Department of Children and Families (DCF). By providing support during these appointments, we ensure that their voices are heard, and their rights are protected.

Awareness Campaign: Through our social media platforms, we have been dedicated to raising awareness about individuals with developmental disabilities. By sharing stories, information, and resources, we aim to foster a more inclusive and understanding community.

Holiday Season of Giving: During Thanksgiving, we partnered with other community providers to distribute 100 Thanksgiving dinners to families with children with disabilities. Additionally, during Christmas, we provided 100 meals and toys to families in need, creating a festive and joyful experience for children with disabilities.

NFL Flag Football Team: In 2022, we collaborated with another non-profit organization to establish the first NFL flag football team for individuals with developmental disabilities in Pinellas Park. This initiative promoted inclusivity, teamwork, and physical activity among participants.
